We are currently looking for a Feed Technology Centre Manager to join a leading aquaculture company based in the South Wales area.
With recent investment having been secured to develop a research scale extrusion and pelleting feed production facility, my client are now looking for a Feed Technology Centre Manager to lead up the new business section at the critical installation and commissioning stage.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Feed Technology Centre Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will be responsible for supervising and managing the activities and production schedule for the business unit and problem solve to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. This will include supply chain and inventory management as well as plant management.
2. You will also liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure the faultless delivery of the production process to exceed expectations and engage with regulatory agencies and support regulatory, corporate and client visits to the facility.
3. As the Feed Technology Centre Manager, you will also be expected to stay abreast of all relevant guidelines and innovations in animal feed production and work with existing staff to ensure that all SOPs and related documentation pertaining to the operation are developed, maintained and adhered to.
4. Build strong and productive relationships with different teams and colleagues across the company and other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Feed Technology Centre Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. It is essential you have previous experience working in a food or feed extrusion facility.
2. Experience or knowledge in fish health / aquaculture would be highly advantageous.
3. Demonstrable project management experience and any experience of formulating and designing bespoke animal feeds would also be beneficial.
