Job Details
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will lead and implement lab-based experiments, including the development and up-scaling activities of manufacturing processes, experiments to establish optimal cell yield, as well as formulation and cell product storage conditions.
2. It will be your responsibility in process development to establish tracking and trending analyses of process development for in-house development activities.
3. You will work with cell culture, isolation and freezing, as well as being responsible for working with automated cell processing systems and bioreactors.
4. As the Senior Scientist, you will drive experimental planning, coordination and prioritisation for the end-to-end drug development processes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. A degree in a relevant science subject is essential, and a PhD is preferred.
2. Proven industry experience in a bioprocess / process development setting is required, especially working with cell therapy processing instruments.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with primary cell culture or adherent cells, cell isolation and freezing will be necessary.
