Formulation Chemist
£23,000 – £31,000 depending on skills and expertise
Jealott’s Hill

If you are looking for a lab-based career in a formulation development function where your scientific mind, problem-solving ability and self-motivation will be valued and rewarded, Syngenta can make it happen. We have an exceptional opportunity for a formulation chemist who can deliver products that keep Syngenta at the forefront of the international crop protection business – a role that will give you the freedom and confidence to build your knowledge of formulation development and develop your career with a world-leading organisation.

Working on your own initiative with input for your team-leader, you’ll plan and conduct experiments, as well as interpret their results. You will design, prepare and characterise novel pesticide products, working at different scales – from laboratory to plant, and you’ll interact with other departments to achieve this. Providing technical support for established products encountered in manufacture will also be part of your role. You’ll have the opportunity to develop knowledge of the commercial implications of large-scale manufacture and use of formulated products.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Chemistry, or who has significant formulation chemistry experience gained in industry. A good communicator, you’ll be able to generate and convey new ideas as part of a project team to deliver results within set timescales.
