Containment Laboratory Manager CL3

CK Group is recruiting for Containment Laboratory Manager to join a rapidly growing research and development company in their containment level 3 lab. The Containment Laboratory Manager will be working at the site in Stirling on a full time, permanent basis. This client is offering an opportunity to be involved in transforming In Vitro Diagnostic testing and provide next generation healthcare.

Containment Laboratory Manager Role:
As a Containment Level 3 Laboratory Manager your primary role will be to oversee the efficient operation of the CL3 laboratory in line with the required legislation. You will be responsible for performing, managing and delivering on CL3 required projects across the Molecular and Assay Research Development teams. Additional responsibilities will include:

- Leading and supporting a team of scientists and technicians who would work on a rotational basis between the CL3 facility and Molecular team.
- Co-ordinating project requirements with the Molecular technical lead and R&D Director.
- Managing a small team of scientists and technicians.
- Be the key expert in CL3 guidance and legislation.
- Act as the single point of contact for the efficient running and operation of the CL3 lab and associated projects.
- Approve biological risk assessments.
- Implement systems and approve documentation pertaining to CL3 activities to ensure compliance and smooth working practice.
- Devise and deliver internal CL3 training package to teach and maintain competency of CL3 personnel.
- Create and maintain quality records (experimental protocols) for the purpose of recording and documenting CL3 operations.
- Maintain own personal training within the biosafety field.

Your Background:
In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- A successful track record managing a CL3 laboratory.
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience in people management.
- Demonstrate organisational skills.
- Experience of providing comprehensive training.
- Experience of working in an IVD regulated environment.
