Job Details
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Head of Technical Operations will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will assume overall Management of CAPEX Projects and coordination of all related activities prior to handover to users, this will include responsibility for the site projects list, Capex budget preparation and implementation, assist with the writing of project scoping documents prior to URS development as well as contribute to the development of URS in conjunction with the project team and other technical specialists when required, as well as maintaining contact with suppliers and contractors.
2. The Head of Technical Operations will assume responsibility of the Site Validation Master Plan, prepare and perform or coordinate initial Qualification/Validation of new GMP related equipment, facilities or utilities, and ensure that routine re-qualification and revalidation of GMP related equipment, facilities or utilities are performed efficiently and effectively, as well as prepare and associated documentation.
3. Ensure day to day maintenance support for production and utilities including a preventative maintenance programme is delivered to the highest standards. You will support Continuous improvement projects and ensure permanent availability and quality of utilities (water, steam, Chilled water, Compressed air, Nitrogen, HVAC to support GMP compliant production.
4. You will be an integral member of the site leadership team, and actively lead, coach and mentor the team to achieve objectives. You will inspire and motivate the team to achieve personal development goals and report on the departments performance to board/senior leadership peers. You will also be responsible for ensuring staff are trained and aware of the importance of data integrity and potential risk to product quality and patient safety.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Head of Technical Operations we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a life science or engineering related discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in a Technical Leadership role in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with MHRA/FDA Audits/Inspections would be advantageous.
