Electronic Design Engineer

Are you an experienced electronic design engineer looking for a new exciting opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Electronic Design Engineer to join a growing company based in the West Lothian area.

As the Electronic Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and implementation of electronic control of temperature, radio frequency, analogue and digital systems.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Electronic Design Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will lead the electrical / electronic design of control systems for temperature control, RF control, and HV systems, low noise analogue circuits, signal and data processing of produced data.

2. You will also lead the coding of associated firmware to control these electronic systems.

3. As the Electronic Design Engineer, you will also ensure the necessary electrical and associated safety compliance and regulatory testing for the developed products.

4. Lastly, you will be supervising the work of junior colleagues and supporting the company's contractors.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Electronic Design Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. As well as a degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineer, you will need to have proven industrial experience in a product development environment with excellent knowledge in RF control circuits, signal processing circuits (including low noise and high frequency analogue circuits), temperature sensing as well as power switching / high voltage circuits.

2. Additionally, as the electronic design engineer, you must also have excellent practical electrical and electronics skills, including PCB modification / reworking and wiring harness construction and also have in depth experience of electrical compliance and regulatory testing standards and processes, including EMC.

3. Excellent firmware understanding and coding abilities to support the aforementioned system types, including microcontroller and FPGA is also required for this role.
