We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager to join a leading biotech company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the laboratory operations and building services coordination for a planned relocation.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Facilities Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Ensure the building is fully functional through the running of all building services, including the supervision and co-ordination of building sub-contractors and engineers.
2. Ensuring the laboratories operate in compliance with laboratory health and safety rules at all times and appropriate risk assessments are carried out.

3. Organise the cleaning, waste disposal and recycling for the building, including the supervision of the disposal of hazardous, chemical and regular laboratory waste.
4. Apply your cleanroom laboratory management experience.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Facilities Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Science related degree or extensive relevant scientific experience.

2. Proven industry experience in a clean room laboratory.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with managing building services contracts.
