Technology Transfer Senior Scientist

We are currently looking for a Technology Transfer Senior Scientist to join the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team within a global Biotechnology company at their facility in the Berkshire area. As the Technology Transfer Senior Scientist you will be responsible for executing the transfer of new or existing downstream process operations working with both external and internal customers using a defined structured approach according to standard procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Technology Transfer Senior Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will work as part of a pilot team following defined processes to plan and manage daily tasks in operating plant equipment and associated analytical technologies ensuring relevant transfer documentation is written and followed daily such that projects meet the required deadlines/customer outcomes.

2. You will develop knowledge to resolve routine process issues and identify trends in data reviews. You will do this by leading root cause analysis (RCA) procedures, ensuring continuous improvements are made to the GMP process.

3. It will be your responsibility as the Technology Transfer Senior Scientist to represent the MSAT department within multiple customer product project teams. You will ensure successful transfer of process stages into DSP operations, from development through to GMP manufacturing.

4. You will begin developing key relationships with Process Development and R&T peers to effectively communicate and understand project discussions and objectives.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technology Transfer Senior Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological Science or a Biochemical Engineering discipline or similar, along with thorough knowledge in bioprocessing.

2. Proven industry experience in Technology Transfer projects would be highly desirable, ideally within a mammalian, GMP environment.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with upstream or downstream processing will be highly advantageous, in addition to manufacturing experience.
