We are currently looking for a Process Scientist to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Merseyside area on a 12 month contract basis. As the Process Scientist you will be responsible for a wide range of activities associated with the Design, Development, Scale-Up, Technical Transfer and GMP clinical manufacture of bulk drug substances.


Your duties as the Process Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be supporting with a range of projects utilising a range of Downstream processing techniques including Protein Purification and Chromatography (HPLC, Ion Exchange, Affinity, Size Exclusion).

2. You will be responsible for writing development operating procedures and reports with minimal corrections on review and ensure that all documentations are delivered on time.

3. As the Process Scientist, you will be ensuring that the materials are specified to the required standard and that orders are raised and monitored to deliver on-time execution of experimental work programmes

4. You will identify and deliver ideas to enhance capabilities of process sciences across a range of projects.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Process Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD and/or have relevant industrial experience within the field of Bioprocess development, scale-up or cGMP manufacturing.

2. Proven industry experience with Bioprocessing (ideally Downstream focussed) and validation experience would be an advantage.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Protein Purification, Chromatography techniques and GMP.
