We are currently looking for an Account Manager - Life Sciences to join a leading Life sciences company based in the Midlands. As the Account Manager - Life Sciences you will be responsible for driving sales of genomic services across London and the South of England. This will be a home / field based opportunity.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Account Manager - Life Sciences will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will drive sales of sanger sequencing by selling to existing and new clients, to meet targets set by the sales manager and represent the company professionally at all times.

2. You will Identify and develop new clients to the business and have customer appointments on site. Around half your time will be spent performing this activity.

3. As the Account Manager - Life Sciences, you will attend all company sales meetings in Nottingham and have prepared a sales report on your activities for presentation once a month.

4. You will gather and report industry trends and knowledge back to your line manager for possible development of new products and services.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Account Manager - Life Sciences we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a life science subject, preferably Genetics, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry etc. Is preferred, however, any degree with sales experience will be considered.

2. Proven experience in sales is required for this role.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with up-selling would be desirable.
