Job Details
De Sangosse Ltd. is a well-established, profitable agrochemical company based near Cambridge and is part of the larger De Sangosse International group (turnover £250M). The group is owned primarily by the employees, which gives many benefits.
We develop and market a wide range of niche chemical inputs for the agricultural market including adjuvants, foliar micro-nutrients, seed-treatments, plant growth stimulators, plant growth regulators, pod-stickers and molluscicides. In many of these areas we are the market leaders and supply products both in the UK and many European countries.
Due to the planned retirement of our existing chemist we need a new member to join our team.
Much of our business is based on surfactant chemistry, hence an understanding of formulation chemistry would be useful, but not a necessity, as full training will be given in addition to a well-managed handover.
The position is office based (very little laboratory work) and involves managing all the chemistry related aspects of our business. e. g. contacts with suppliers, toll-manufacturers, government agencies, MSDS and associated parts of product labels as well as R & D / New Product Development.
There is some national and international travel and we offer an industry leading compensation package with a full range of benefits.
Flexible working hours can be accommodated.
In the first instance please email your CV with a covering letter to chemical-manager@desangosse.co.uk
