Are you an experienced analytical chemist looking for your next role with a growing biotechnology company?

We are currently looking for a Production Scientist with experience in HPLC and UV-Vis to join a growing biotechnology company based in the Glasgow area. As the Production Scientist you will be responsible for manufacturing, testing and validating products, utilising analytical chemistry and assisting with analytical method development.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Production Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Carry out analytical testing and validation of the manufactured product, mainly UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, HPLC, LCMS-MS.

2. Manufacturing buffers and working with chemicals, vitamins and toxins to manufacture products, while adhering to COSHH.

3. As the Production Scientist, you will be responsible for following, writing and reviewing manufacturing SOPs and completing related documentation associated with the QMS.

4. Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and carrying out stock checks of raw materials.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Production Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific subject i.e. Chemistry or Biochemistry.

2. Proven industry experience in a ISO9001:2015 (or similar) quality system environment.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, HPLC and analytical method development (LCMS-MS experience would be advantageous but is not essential).
