We are currently looking for a GMP Operations Manager to join a leading company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the GMP Operations Manager you will be responsible for the development of the Manufacturing Operations team and lead the set-up of the new Manufacturing Operation for delivery of the first clinical material in 2019.


Your duties as the GMP Operations Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Identification of all procedures, documentation & operational requirements to run the manufacturing operation including those required for work alongside collaborators.

2. Writing, reviewing and approving of documentation including SOPs, IQ/OQ/PQs, risk assessments, EHS and regulatory documents.

3. Ensuring all supply chain requirements are in place including raw material suppliers & contracts, storage of materials and final product and cold chain transportation to clinical sites.

4. Managing the manufacturing operations team including, identification of resource needs, ensuring all direct reports have appropriate training to be able to execute their role, professional development of direct reports.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the GMP Operations Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biological Science discipline or similar along with Operations or Manufacturing experience.

2. Proven industry experience in leading Cell Therapy or Biopharmaceutical operations or manufacturing teams within a GMP environment.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Cell Therapy processes will be highly desirable.
