Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for a Process Development Chemist to join a leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company based in the Merseyside area. As the Process Development Chemist you will be responsible for the development of new processes suitable for scale-up from gram to kg quantities.


Your duties as the Process Development Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will refine existing processes as well as devise new ones to optimise the manufacturing process while carrying out and supervising process trials in laboratories, pilot plants or factories. In this role there are requirements to train and mentor work colleagues.

2. You will be responsible for the scale up of the production process via plant trials, making changes to raw materials or components to ensure quality is maintained.

3. As the Process Development Chemist you will be tasked with improving yields by reducing costs as well as validating new processes and showing that they are an improvement.

4. You will be tasked with developing formulae, specifications and label declarations, ensuring compliance with finished product specifications.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Process Development Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in process chemistry and scale-up.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with the manufacture of pharmaceutical products as well as scale-up from gram to kg scale.
