An exciting opportunity for an Engineering R&D Manager to join a leading fine chemical company based in the Oxfordshire area has become available. As the Engineering R&D Manager you will be responsible for the global management of engineering and field trial aspects of the organisations products across a variety industries.


Your duties as the Engineering R&D Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will provide expertise and innovative guidance on how best to carry out projects and achieve competitive advantage as well as be responsible for ensuring projects are resourced with appropriate skills and are delivered effectively.

2. You will be responsible for a global team of engineers across four locations whilst supporting the business with technology leadership strategies.

3. As the Engineering R&D Manager, you will integrate activities where projects are led by other technical teams but success requires significant engineering support both internally and/or with an external test provider.

4. You will define how resources can be used to optimally achieve success, maximise return from the operational budget and make proposals for alternative funding approaches.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Engineering R&D Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in an Engineering or Life Science related discipline or equivalent.

2. Proven industry experience in fine chemicals or automotive industries, within a management role.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with scientific methodology, engine tests and project management methodologies.
