Are you an experienced materials characterisation analyst looking for a new exciting job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Materials Characterisation Analyst to join a leading company based in the West Yorkshire area.

As the Materials Characterisation Analyst you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, plus method development, validation and method transfer using a range of solid state and related techniques such as X-Ray powder diffraction, thermal analysis, DVS and isothermal calorimetry.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Materials Characterisation Analyst will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Revenue generating laboratory-based analytical project work, applying diverse analytical techniques to a wide range of sample types including substances, compounds, formulations, raw materials or commercial products, whilst ensuring you are adhering to the GLP / GMP regulations.

2. As the materials characterisation analyst, you will also be required to manage analytical and technical projects, so experience managing projects in a commercial setting would be beneficial.

3. You will also be involved in the method development and validation, including drafting of related documents (methods, protocols, reports).

4. Additionally, you will be responsible for associated data processing, report writing and reviewing data generated by other colleagues.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Materials Characterisation Analyst we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant analytical chemistry or related scientific degree as well as experience in analytical testing including analytical method transfer, development and validation is essential for this role.

2. Industrial experience working in a GMP or GLP regulated laboratory and experience in project management would be beneficial.

3. It is advantageous if you have worked in the same field, and have experience in the use of complex analytical instrumentation, including troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
