An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a forward thinking Biotechnology organisation, based in Cambridge. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading the strategy to out-licence a cutting edge formulation technology platform, targeting the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology sectors internationally.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Execute the Business Development strategy, mapping out the Pharmaceutical and Biotech market to identify, target, develop and close new opportunities.

2. Work with new and existing customers to form revenue generating collaborations, partnerships and licensing transactions across Europe and the US.

3. Be the external face of the company at sales meetings, conferences and networking events.

4. As the Business Development Manager you will keep abreast new developments in the market, competitor analysis, market trends and more.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Science subject such as Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biotechnology.

2. Proven industry experience in a commercially focused and customer facing role within the Biotech, CMO, CRO or Pharmaceutical organisation. Such as Business Development, Alliance Management, Project Management, Technology transfer, Licensing etc.

3. A working knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, proprietary products, generics, reformulation or in-licensing / out-licensing is desirable.
