Are you an experienced senior dermal scientist looking for a new exciting job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Senior Dermal Scientist to join a leading company based in the Dundee area.

As the Senior Dermal Scientist you will be working within the in vitro pharmacology / toxicology team and will be focussing on leading the dermal services platform.


Your duties as the Senior Dermal Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for resourcing, planning and assisting in the execution of the in vitro dermal services platform as well as acting as Study Director for regulatory and non-regulatory studies.

2. In conjunction with the assay development functions, you will also be responsible for developing and validating additional dermal assays to broaden the company's dermal services range.

3. As the senior scientist. you will also be responsible for the maintenance of designated equipment including dermal penetration rigs, tissue culture facilities and liquid scintillation equipment.

4.You will be acting as a mentor to less experienced scientist in the company and will be contributing to scientific publications.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Dermal Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A degree in biological sciences is essential. A Masters or Doctorate degree would be highly advantageous.

2. Proven industry experience of acting as GLP Study Director for in vitro studies is essential. Experience of acting as GLP Study Director for in vitro dermal studies would also be highly beneficial to your application.

3. A working knowledge of the market conditions, opportunities, competition and understanding of customer base and commercial awareness would be desirable.
