We are currently looking for a Distribution Coordinator to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Northern Ireland. As the Distribution Coordinator you will be responsible for the effective coordination and processing of sales orders and shipping requests received into the company's distribution department. This will include prioritising shipping orders, liaising with couriers, communicating with project managers and preparation of distribution paperwork.

This will be an initial 9-12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Distribution Coordinator will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will plan and organise the processing of sales orders and shipping requests, ensuring all pick lists are process and available to the distribution floor. You will generate dispatch paperwork to ensure all orders are processed in time to meet shipping dates and ensure that bookings and paperwork are maintained accurately.

2. You will maintain regular contact with both internal and external customers. This will include providing regular updates on order timelines and delays, liaising with regards to issues with shipments and ensuring internal contacts are provided with relevant distribution information as required.

3. You will generate documentation in line with GMP/GDP requirements to facilitate the distribution process and assist in the generation of QMS documentation, ensuring all documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.

4. You will be the primary point of contact within the distribution department for queries and requests. You will represent the department in internal meetings relating to the ongoing management of distribution requirements, and provide support to the coordination functions within other areas of the logistics department.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Distribution Coordinator we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, or significant experience in a similar role

2. Proven industry experience in a customer facing role, ideally within an order processing or distribution environment. Experience working to GDP or GMP regulations would be an advantage.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Office applications and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
