We are currently looking for a Genome Editing Principle Scientist to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Genome Editing Principle Scientist you will be responsible for leading a team of gene editing scientists for the engineering of cell lines.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Genome Editing Principle Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will carry out genome editing procedures such as, but not limited to, CRISPr, Cas9, TALEN and ZNC.

2. Your main responsibility will be leading and managing a small team of scientists working on the characterisation of cell lines.

3. You will work on automated platforms for the high throughput selection and screening of cell lines.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Genome Editing Principle Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree/PhD/Masters in a Biological Sciences related degree and line management experience is essential to your application.

2. Proven industry experience working in virology or cell line development is essential along with extensive cell culture experience.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Next Generation Sequencing and cell culture automation systems would be beneficial to your application.
