We are currently looking for a Market Development Manager - Chemicals to join a World-class leading company in the fuels, lubricants and additives area based in Oxfordshire.

As the Market Development Manager - Chemicals you will be responsible for steering and delivering the development of new commercial products, leading new product development projects and contributing to all stages in the new business development framework within the cross-functional new business development team and the company.


Your duties as the Market Development Manager Chemicals will be varied however; the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Leadership of project teams delivering new commercial products for deployment in a wide range of markets
2. Delivering a diverse portfolio of technical development programs in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
3. Work within a cross-functional team, including significant 3rd party engagement, tackling all aspects of product development, understanding basic
science, synthesis and evaluation of new chemicals, handling safety, environmental and intellectual property issues through to final product
definition, the development of a commercial process and full commercialisation
4. Training and mentorship in new business development will be provided in the context of project execution


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Market Development Manager Chemicals we are looking to identify the following on your profile and history:

1. A PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or Industrial research experience along with excellent technical competencies and the ability to be effective in
technical program delivery
2. Experience in new market development with proven ability to innovate and the ability to change, adapt and evolve to a changing business context.
3. Commercial acumen, ideally demonstrated via customer or supplier-facing experience, excellent project and program management skills
