We are currently looking for a LIMS Developer to join a leading company based in the Cambridge area. As the LIMS Developer you will be responsible for the development of a Laboratory Information System.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the LIMS Developer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the LIMS Developer you will work on LIMS software implementation and management and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth, end-to-end workflows that integrate with external organisations.

2. You will maintain a core analysis infrastructure, reporting and documentation.

3. As the LIMS developer you will execute, improve and enhance the next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis workflows.

4. You will support wet lab members in sample and workflow management. primary analysis and meta data reporting.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the LIMS Developer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. As the LIMS developer you will be educated to Masters or PhD level (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.

2. You will have proven industry experience in processing large-scale next-generation sequencing datasets (Illumina or others) and have a clear understanding of bioinformatics tools used for alignment and (epi)genome analysis.

3. As the LIMS developer you will have working knowledge and practical experience with LIMS software development using Python, Perl, R or a similar programming language.
