Research Co-ordinator in Material Chemistry Grade 8

                   £40,792 - £51,630 pa

A Research Co-ordinator position is available in the group of Professor A. I. Cooper FRS. Your role will be to support an internationally-leading research programme in functional materials chemistry.

Applicants with skills that align with our research programme are particularly encouraged, but we also welcome applications from other areas of experimental and computational materials research: scientific excellence and demonstrated research vision are the key criteria. An excellent publication record is essential, as this the ability to take responsibility in the organisation and execution of research, as well as ideas generation.

The role will focus on the most challenging areas of new materials synthesis, characterisation, and/or computation, as part of a programme that includes a growing activity in autonomous robotics. You will have considerable scope for contribution to strategic planning and development of new research directions.

This role is ideal for ambitious candidates with high levels of achievement who have the potential to become future independent leaders in materials research. The role will be based in the new Materials Innovation Factory.

A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science is required. This role is available to 31 December 2023.
