We are currently looking for a Principle Scientist to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. As the Principle Scientist you will be responsible for product and process development to support the manufacturing of antibodies and recombinant proteins.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Principle Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will support assay development for activity and potency assays within the BioAnalytical Services team.

2. Liaising with clients to ensure the successful transfer of activity and potency assays is very important in your position as well as ensuring you are representing the department to customers.

3. You will review scientific content of development and QA studies performed within the team and ensure that the information is liaised to the correct parties.

4. As the Principle Scientist you will troubleshoot and train junior staff in the analytical activities required to develop, transfer and validate cell based assays.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Principle Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD or Masters in a Biological Sciences related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience using activity and potency methods for recombinant protein therapeutics as well as experience developing and validating activity and binding assays using cell based assays.

3. Practical experience with presenting scientific subjects to others as well as the ability to promote the department is essential to your application.
