We are currently looking for a Research Scientist to join a leading Genomic Research and Development company based in the Cambridge area. As the Research Scientist you will be responsible for working within the Technology Development team designing and executing experiments.


Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will monitor technology developments and asses for commercial viability as well as producing analytical models and develop prototype systems.

2. Maximising collaborative output by liaising with other teams and working with team members to develop new ideas will play a large part in your role.

3. Generation of valuable data from designing and executing experiments is important for further development and will be a large part of your role as Research Scientist.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Physical Chemistry or related discipline is essential along with experience in Microscopy and Single Molecule techniques.

2. Proven industry experience in complex Biochemical systems and Assay Development such as NGS and Molecular diagnostics is essential. You will have the ability to code custom scripts and carry out mathematical analysis.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with nanofabrication would be highly beneficial to your application.
