We are currently looking for a QC Microbiology Team Leader to join a leading Research and Development company based in the Essex area. As the QC Microbiology Team Leader you will be responsible for performing batch release and stability testing of products manufactured on the site.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the QC Microbiology Team Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Your role will involve ensuring the Microbiology section is compliant with company procedures and regulatory guidelines as well as ensuring Health and Safety is followed.

2. Training and development of QC Scientists within Microbiology will be among your duties and will involve monthly one-to-ones.

3. Managing the Microbiology team's schedule to meet required timelines and supervising the laboratory work performed as well as day to day management of the team is important in your role.

4. As the QC Microbiology Team Leader you will become a subject matter expert for the site.

5. Managing KAPA's, Deviations, Non-conformances and change controls while ensuring the timely completion of quality actions.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Microbiology Team Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree or PhD in Microbiology or similar discipline is essential to your application.

2. Proven industry experience in performing microbiological methods within a Pharmaceutical environment and working with QC function in a GMP environment is essential.
3. Practical experience in method validation and method transfer regarding microbiological test methods would be very beneficial to your application.
