We are currently looking for a Technical Support Senior Manager to join a leading global Life Sciences / Medical Device company based near London. As the Technical Support Senior Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of highly skilled field service engineers across EMEAI regions and will be expected to travel 40-50% of the time. This role requires an experienced manager to delegate and prioritise between team performance, managing relationships with stakeholders and providing best in practice customer support/service.

It is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate to be able to speak French or German as well as fluent English

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Technical Support Senior Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Lead a team of highly skilled Electro-Mechanical field service engineers who work across a portfolio of complex life sciences instrumentation and medical devices covering regions across EMEAI. Manage KPI's and financial objectives effectively and efficiently.

2. Being the point of contact for global technical escalations you will need effective problem solving skills to deliver the support required with customers in need. Demonstrate a level of perception and understanding of customer needs.

3. Work closely with the Director of Global Technical Support on new strategies to increase the performance of your team and provide better levels of service to customers. Also keep strong relationships with Customers, Sales and Service stakeholders.

4. Actively look at information, data and trends to plan and implement continuous improvement activities across your remit of responsibility. Work to improve cost reduction, performance and efficiency where possible.

5. At all times drive urgency and professionalism with strong emphasis on a "first time fix" ethic throughout your team.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technical Support Senior Manager Life Sciences we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific OR Engineering subject

2. Proven industry experience in complex Life Science Instrumentation OR Medical Devices

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with leading a team of highly skilled field based support engineers.
