We are currently looking for a Laboratory Operations Assistant to join a leading Gut Microbiome Research Organisation based in the Cambridgeshire area. An enthusiastic scientist seeking an important role in a growing biotechnology company will be the successful applicant.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Laboratory Operations Assistant will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Your role will involve general laboratory cleaning and housekeeping to reflect the daily priorities of the scientists.

2. You will also carry out routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, including care, cleaning and calibration checks.

3. As the Laboratory Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for managing stock consumables and assisting with monitoring orders and deliveries.

4. Supporting scientists within the laboratory, assisting where possible, will be among your duties.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences related discipline such as Biology, Biological Sciences or Biotechnology.
