We are currently looking for a Senior QC Microbiologist to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Wiltshire area. As the Senior QC Microbiologist you will be joining the bacteriology technical services group and be involved in QC Microbiological analysis.


Your duties as the Senior QC Microbiologist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will supervise and delegate work load within the bacteriology technical services team and also train staff within this team and occasionally other teams where required.

2. Testing Microbiological samples within containment laboratories from all stages of the production processes of the products manufactured and assess these results against pre-set standards will be among your duties.

3. You will prepare environmental monitoring consumables for production areas and pre-test this media to aseptic standards as well as maintain culture collection, media stocks and necessary consumable supplies.

4. As the Senior QC Microbiologist you will complete departmental CAPA's and implement any required quality improvements that may arise.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior QC Microbiologist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant Degree or Masters in a Microbiology related subject as well as experience working in a GMP regulated Pharmaceutical organisation is essential to your application.

2. Proven industry experience within microbiology and supervising a small team or training staff as well as working in a Quality Management System is essential.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with CAPA's, Change Management and Quality risk management would be beneficial to your application.
