We are currently looking for a Protein DSP Scientist to join a leading Research and Development company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Protein DSP Scientist you will be responsible for supporting antigen and protein purification from mammalian cell cultures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Protein DSP Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will purify proteins on various scales including the use of AKTA systems. Performing affinity and ion-exchange chromatography will be among your duties.

2. As the Protein DSP Scientist you will evaluate new technologies, procedures and technical developments for their suitability to enhance the current capabilities.

3. You will report and communicate efficiently with internal teams to ensure a seamless handover.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Protein DSP Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in subject such as, but not limited to, Biochemistry or Biotechnology along with Post Doctoral experience is essential to your application.

2. Proven industry experience of protein purification using a variety of techniques and scales as well as strong data analysis and data interpretation skills.
