We are currently looking for a Research Scientist - Analytical Scientist (12 months FTC) to join a leading company based in the Berkshire area. As the Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing biochemical assays in order to support the development of protein therapeutics.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Analytical Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Analytical Scientist, you will be required to purify and analyse protein therapeutics by using techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, AKTA and electrophoresis.

2. Your Analytical Scientist responsibilities will include addressing complex problems, keep accurate records and communicate with members of multiple teams.

3. You will be able to work with and without an SOP.

4. Your role as the Analytical Scientist will involve the development of ELISA assays.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Analytical Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a related BSc subject.

2. Proven experience of at least 2 years working in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with HPLC, UPLC, AKTA, gel and/or capillary electrophoresis.
