We are currently looking for a Contracts & IP Associate - Life Science to join a leading Cell and Gene therapy company based in the Oxford area. As the Contracts & IP Associate - Life Science you will support with IP and contract management including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements


Your duties as the Contracts & IP Associate - Life Science will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for liaising with the Contract Managers and Head of IP & Contracts in order to prepare, despatch and review agreements with other parties (consultancy, services, confidential disclosure, materiel transfer etc.) You will also perform risk assessment and develop strategies for minimising potential risk of the business.

2. Ensure that the IP databases are up to date and manage the approval of publications prior to submission. You will also maintain the Ruby database.

3. As the Contracts & IP Associate - Life Science, you will support with IP attorneys and with IP analysis.

4. You will keep track of the unsigned agreements. This will predominately include the management of the company's extensive patent and trade mark portfolio as well as IP licences and other agreements.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Contracts & IP Associate - Life Science we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a legal qualification, including Law degree, LLM, LPC etc. Experience in a legal support role is essential.

2. Proven experience in generation, review, negotiation and management of basic agreements.

3.Excellent writing and communication skills. Experience working with customers and financial systems is advantageous.
