We are currently looking for an Assay Scientist to join a leading Cell and Gene Therapy company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Assay Scientist you will be responsible for working within the QC laboratories carrying out lab based assays under GMP regulations.


Your duties as the Assay Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will perform laboratory based activities such as, but not limited to, ELISA, qPCR and cell culturing.

2. Your role will include carrying out quality control of assays performed by other scientists and perform verification of control materials.

3. As the Assay Scientist, you will complete quality records such as CAPA's and Change Controls as well as be responsible for the general housekeeping of the laboratory including cleaning, maintaining stocks and equipment.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Assay Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences related degree such as, but not limited to, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry.

2. A working knowledge and practical experience working in a regulated environment carrying out techniques such as ELISA, qPCR and cell culture is essential to your application.
