Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS) are currently searching for a Business Development Manager - Genomics to join a leading proteomics and genomics company. As the Business Development Manager - Genomics you will be based in Cambridgeshire area and selling the genomics products and services of the company, such as PCR, DNA/RNA sequencing kits etc. to new and existing customers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Business Development Manager - Genomics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Pro-actively search and connect with new customers. A key part of this role will be business development and new customer generation, mainly through email, phone, customer meetings and conferences You will be responsible for prospecting, negotiating and closing deals.

2. Actively contribute to the global commercial strategy. You will be closely collaborating with the Marketing, R&D, Sales and the wider Business Development team.

3. Develop and support the marketing of Genomic and Proteomics services.

4. As the Business Development Manager - Genomics you will travel globally to meet customers and attend conference to develop further the brand awareness.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager - Genomics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Degree educated in Life Sciences, Genetics, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology. An MSc or a PhD is highly advantageous.

2. Previous laboratory experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, NGS, Nucleic Acid extraction, DNA extraction and RNA extractions etc.

3. Previous working experience in a scientific commercial environment, such as Sales, Business development, Technical Support, Marketing, Product manager is essential. Experience within the genomic / proteomics sector is highly advantageous.
