We are currently looking for a Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) Scientist to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. As the Lead NPI Scientist you will lead the technical transfer of a number of manufacturing projects within upstream and downstream processing. You will be predominately responsible for providing technical support to clients and equally collaborating with team members to provide robust GMP scale processes.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Lead NPI Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be an MSAT expert ready to successfully deliver defined and complex process stages in upstream and downstream processing from development through MSAT pilot scale facilities. This will include being responsible for the technical risks involved in the process transfer and introduction of new raw materials for pilot and production scale batches.

2. As the Lead NPI Scientist you will also be responsible for delivering project results internally and communicating effectively with customers while managing their needs and requirements. Actively presenting the data via telephone or face to face to allow for successful customer- client relations.

3. You will monitor all processes and complex data analysis as well as delivering operator training for unit operations and completion of quality actions such as CAPA's, Deviations and Change Controls.

4. Overcoming manufacturing process issues to ensuring continuous improvements are made to the GMP manufacturing processes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Lead NPI Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD or equivalent experience in a Life Sciences related subject such as Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biomedical/ Biological Sciences etc.

2. Recognised expertise in upstream or downstream processing in GMP manufacturing operations and the ability to technically understand complex unit operations with a proven track record of successful technical transfer.

3. Great communication, problem solving skills, and technical attention to details is essential for your application to be successful.
