We are currently looking for a Genomics Scientist to join a leading Life Sciences company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Genomics Scientist you will work within the chemical manufacturing and control department and you will perform assays in relation to qPCR.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Genomics Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will carry out both automated and manual DNA/RNA qPCR while following GLP regulations.

2. As the Genomics Scientist you will also be responsible for assisting in experimental work and reporting projects and studies that are conducted by the Chemical Manufacturing and Control department.

3. You will be involved in monitoring of all data generated in the studies performed and compile reports/ data analysis of these results to ensure scientific accuracy.

4. Ensuring safe working practices in accordance with HASWANA and COSHH will be among your responsibilities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Genomics Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biologics related subject such as, but not limited to, Genomics, Biological Sciences, Drug Development etc.

2. Proven industry experience in a Pharmaceutical company or a Contract Research Organisation is essential to your application.

3. Practical experience carrying out PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction techniques is essential in being the successful applicant.
