An exciting opportunity for an experienced T Cell Scientist has be come available to a Biopharmaceutical company looking in to the discovery, development and commercialisation of cell therapy products aimed at the human immune system. The company is based in the Cambridgeshire area and they are looking for a self-motivated, Preclinical Research Scientist to lead the expansion and characterisation of primary human T Cells directed against novel antigens.


Your duties as the Cell Therapy Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Design, execute and analyse complex studies that focus on the expansion and characterisation of primary human T cells.

2. Lead platform and assay development and act as the internal Immunology expert with a focus on Oncology.

3.Independently focus on the expansion of T Cells and develop Cell Culture methods to ensure expression of novel TCRs and CARs

4. You will be expected to keep up to date with current scientific literature and integrate knowledge to drive studies forward.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Cell Therapy Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in Immunology or related discipline in addition to significant post-doctoral research or similar industry experience. A good track record of publications would be beneficial for this position.

2. Proven knowledge of Immuno-oncology with hands on experience with Human T Cell expansion, proliferation and characterisation as well as experience of Cell Culture, Flow Cytometry, T Cell Function assays and Cell based Assays

3. The ability to work independently is a must with drive, passion and innovation. A love of research in a developmental setting would make you the perfect candidate for this position.
