We are currently looking for a Pharmaceutical Process Technician to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Wrexham area. As the Pharmaceutical Process Technician you will be working primarily in either upstream or downstream processing of biopharmaceutical products. Carrying out protein purification, chromatography, filtration, fermentation, protein extraction will be among your duties.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Pharmaceutical Process Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be involved in optimising the Downstream Processes for example tangential flow filtration process development. Your role will include working in Upstream Processing which may involve the following:
- Vessel preparation
- Seed operation and vessel innoculation
- Fermentation
- Protein extraction

2. Your role will include supporting the implementation of new bioprocess technologies as well as utilising robust technologies.

3. As the Pharmaceutical Process Technician you will perform experimentation and write technical reports while following GMP regulations. You will also participate in process monitoring and continuous improvement.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Pharmaceutical Process Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences related degree such as Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical engineering etc.

2. Proven industry experience working in Upstream or Downstream Processing with experience in a cleanroom/ GMP environment across multiple projects.

3. Significant experience carrying out protein purifications would be beneficial to your application.
