Position Summary:

Product Stewardship & Regulatory Compliance (PSRC) is about understanding, controlling and communicating a product's environmental, health and safety related effects throughout its lifecycle from development, through to manufacture and final disposal. The role of Product Stewardship Advisor will appeal to candidates from the chemical industry experienced in understanding chemical regulations and translating them into compliance systems and assessing their implications on operations. The successful candidate will be a member of the PSRC team, a diverse, multidisciplinary team within Infineum's global Sales & Supply organization. The position reports to the Global Product Stewardship Manager and has the responsibility for monitoring and maintaining chemical regulatory compliance in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region. The primary IT system used is the EHS module of SAP.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

- Accountability for maintaining chemical regulatory compliance in the EMEA region
- Support new product development activities
- Support EU-REACh processes with particular regard to regional customer needs
- Monitor, assess the impact of and communicate regional chemical regulatory developments
- Update PSRC business processes to ensure regulatory compliance
- Take on any additional responsibilities as assigned

What skills will you gain from this role?

- Broad knowledge of, and involvement with, commercial and operational activities (e.g. technology development, supply chain, sales and marketing)
- Knowledge and experience in the growing area of global chemical regulations and their implementation across the range of businesses
- Ability to deal with change (e.g. through evolving guidance to finalised legislation) and develop expertise in the SAPEHS module

A successful candidate is likely to have:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or a related technical field. A strong organic chemistry background would be an advantage
- Broad knowledge and proven field experience of chemical substance regulations (e.g EU-REACh, CLP), dangerous goods transport regulations and regulatory reporting in the EMEA region
- Experience in supporting the chemical regulatory compliance requirements of external customers
- Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage, especially for extended-SDS authorship and Substance Volume Tracking
- Attention to detail with an ability to understand the interconnectivity of regulatory data
- Ability to manage own workload priorities and take initiatives
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain regulatory matters to non-experts.
