We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join a growing life sciences company based in the Wiltshire area. The company manufacture life-saving drugs as well as carrying out contract manufacturing projects. They are looking to hire someone who can oversee the project management of new product development, process development, analytical development and tech transfer.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for providing active management of operational projects with responsibility for ensuring all aspects of project delivery.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Project Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows, and a full job description can be provided on application:

1. Provide active management of a portfolio of assigned manufacturing-related projects and to have prime responsibility for operational liaison with project customers. To include, but not be limited to, pharmaceutical products (vaccines & therapeutics), technology transfer and process development, facility shutdowns and start ups and capital bids.

2. Responsible for evaluation of assigned external and internal project enquiries for manufacturing activities to negotiate and finalise project definition, formulate proposals for resources and programmes required for project delivery.

3. As Project Manager, you will be focal point for all project communication, ensuring project sponsors, stakeholders and team members kept appropriately informed. To communicate highly complex, sensitive and contentious information whilst overcoming barriers to understanding. Formal presentations to various groups including executive management are expected. Ongoing liaison with research, development and regulatory groups is also an element of the role.

4. Establish, in conjunction with line management, operational project teams. To provide leadership, manage relationships and motivate the teams throughout the project life cycle.
You will establish and set budgets for operational projects as part of the annual budgeting process.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Project Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant Degree, Masters or PhD in a relevant life sciences subject eg, biology or chemistry, plus extensive project management experience gained within a regulated (eg. GMP, ISO) life sciences or manufacturing setting.

2. In addition to the above, you should be able to demonstrate operational management, budget / financial management and team leadership skills.

3. Technical knowledge - you should have a technical background gained in either a biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with additional experience in product development or GMP manufacturing.
