The Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick, UK expects to appoint around 60 funded and self-funded PhD and MSc students in the academic year 2018/19 in the following areas:

• Analytical Science and Instrumentation (MSc courses also available)
• Chemical Biology
• Interfaces and Materials
• Polymer Science (MSc courses also available)
• Synthesis and Catalysis
• Theory and Simulation.

For PhD study, you will have the equivalent of a UK 2.1 degree or higher in Chemistry or a related Science. Significant research or industrial experience or strong postgraduate qualifications will also be taken into account.

For taught MSc study in Analytical Science or Polymer Chemistry, you will have the equivalent of a UK 2.2 Degree or higher in Chemistry, or an appropriate related subject.

The Department is also involved with a number of sponsored Centres for Doctoral Training.

Exceptional international candidates for PhD study can apply for this competitive scholarship scheme. Successful applicants normally have the equivalent of a UK First Class Degree and other indications of excellent performance, such as a publications record or the award of prizes or scholarships.
