Background

Deep Water Blue Limited is an independent water treatment and water hygiene service provider. Due to our continued growth in the London and South-East area we are looking for a graduate trainee to join our team based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The successful candidate will embark on a training program which will add to their science based degree learning process and enhance their skills in the water treatment and hygiene business area.

Successful candidates for the role of graduate water treatment and hygiene trainee engineer will have a relevant science background such as chemistry, microbiology, environmental science or similar and an interest in furthering a career in the water treatment and hygiene business sectors. The applicant must have a full UK driving licence and be a current UK passport holder to be considered for this position. Your degree, masters or PhD, must have been awarded from a UK institution to be considered for this position.

The successful candidate must be permanently based within a one-hour drive of Stevenage or be prepared to relocate to the area.

Job Description

The successful candidate can expect to travel to customer sites around the region, servicing, monitoring and sampling water services. They will also work closely with their colleagues, helping to manage customer accounts. Interaction with clients is a key part of the role and so therefore, good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work unsupervised, after initial training has been completed.

Candidates must be highly proficient in all Office software packages.

The role provides technical in-house training, along with on the job experience, before conducting any field work.

Candidates must be highly disciplined and motivated, with the ability to work and learn on their own, having a strong inherent desire to succeed and learn new skills.

There is excellent career progression for the right candidate to move from graduate trainee up through the company, thereby forging a successful career in the field of industrial and commercial water treatment.

This is a field based role covering primarily London and the South East of England but will, on occasion, require travel further afield.
