A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join a leading Chemical Manufacturing business based in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire area. As the Instrumentation and Control Engineer you will be responsible for a variety of engineering activities, including maintenance, fault rectification, installation / commissioning, engineering improvements and de-commissioning.


Your duties as the Instrumentation and Control Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer you will be part of a small team responsible for providing EC&I plant and project support.

2. You must ensure that full compliance with all relevant standards and procedures are adhered to. Training will be provided on areas of functional safety if required.

3. Ensure that all EC&I systems and associated equipment are designed, installed and operated to deliver compliance and meet business needs.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Instrumentation and Control Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. You will be educated to a minimum HNC within an Electrical, Control's or Instrumentation discipline.

with relevant work experience in a similar environment. Working knowledge of PLC systems, functional safety and hazardous areas would be a distinct advantage.

2. Proven industry experience in a similar environment chemical manufacturing environment would be beneficial. However, we would also welcome applications from candidates who have worked within other hazardous industries or Top Tier COMAH sites.

3. Working knowledge of PLC systems, functional safety and hazardous areas would be a distinct advantage.
