An exciting Biotechnology company in Cambridgeshire is looking for a Research Associate experienced in Antibody Engineering to join their Drug Discovery team. As the Research Associate in Drug Discovery you will be responsible for designing and executing experiments and subsequent analysis, interpretation and reporting of the results.


Your duties as the Research Associate in Drug Discovery will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will assist with Antibody Engineering using your technical experience in Molecular Biology and Mammalian Cell Culture.

2. You will select and screen antibody phage and yeast display libraries.

3. Expression, purification and characterisation of antibody fragments using mammalian cells

4. Carry out on-going analysis of data generated to identify issues and implement necessary optimisations.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Associate in Drug Discovery we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences Discipline (e.g. Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology etc.) in addition to Antibody Engineering experience, ideally in an industry setting.

2. Proven industry experience in DNA manipulation, cloning, sequence alignment and analysis, as well as mammalian cell culture.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Protein expression and purification, Cell-based assays, ELISA-based screening assays and flow cytometry and/or cell sorting is desirable.
