Job Role

To manage all aspects of Quality Operations encompassing Quality Control, Quality Review, Quality Compliance, Quality Systems, Validation and Process Improvements

Key Responsibilities
- Develop annual quality improvement plans and objectives to deliver KPI's
- Lead and develop the Quality team (QA and QC); delivering individuals with the technical capability, drive and influence to achieve quality aspects of the business vision
- Chair monthly site quality meetings using trends and data to review and improve performance
- Provide quality oversight to the board and input to strategic and capital decision making processes
- Ensure product is manufactured, tested and released in compliance to EU GMP by ensuring the quality management systems are in place, in use, effective and continually improving
- Owner of the Site Validation Master Plan ensuring it is executed to current regulatory expectations
- Positively influence the outcome of regulatory and customer audits through leadership of site preparations and effective communications; build trust with key stakeholders via on time delivery of CAPA's
- Ensure flow of products through the QC laboratory and batch review processes to achieve on time delivery to customer.
- Provide technical expertise to site in quality system processes e.g. Risk management/RCA/CAPA; ensure quality systems are both compliant and lean to support factory efficiency
- Leadership of critical quality incidents e.g. customer complaints, deviations, recall
- Coach, mentor and develop staff for site or group programs e.g. graduate program

Skills & Experience
- Relevant experience within food or pharmaceutical industry (including at least 3 years managerial experience)
- Management and improvement of QMS
- Experience with regulatory bodies or regulated environments.
- Qualification and Validation knowledge
- Hosting of External Regulatory Audits
- Expert knowledge of current GMP requirements
- Leadership and management of teams
- Influencing and Communication skills (both written and oral)
- Business focused

- Responsible Site Compliance with QMS
- Responsible for ensuring VMP is written and adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring that any breaches in H&S, or any other company rules are reported immediately.
