The Role:

Due to significant business growth, we are expanding our Quality department to include a new Audit team. Consequently, we’re seeking a meticulous and systematic Quality Auditor to perform thorough cGMP and ‘for cause’ audits of our UK and EU suppliers and service providers (from raw materials to contract laboratories) to ensure our internal operations remain compliant, safe and of the highest standards. With your audits planned and allocated from our annual schedule, you’ll research your assigned companies and their industry requirements before making site visits to appraise their compliance to our company, industry and legislative standards, along with assessing their quality systems, end-to-end manufacturing process, culture and company documentation in order to identify any areas of risk. You’ll complete and issue your report to the auditee in a timely fashion, then work with the business to ensure any required corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) are implemented to the required levels. Using our electronic document management system and audit platform, you’ll upload any documentation and update project statuses to maintain an accurate record at all times. In addition, you’ll support the wider business by contributing to larger cross-functional projects, share learnings with your team and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), as required. Please note, this role will require significant UK and international travel.

The Person:

With significant experience in a similar role in the pharmaceuticals sector and with a Quality Assurance background, you’ll be experienced in conducting quality and compliance audits with suppliers and service providers, have a good knowledge of EU and USA pharmaceutical regulations and have experience of working with demanding ISO standards. As a person, you’re observant and analytical – able to distil and interpret large amounts of complex information efficiently and effectively, and apply pragmatism in order to make sound judgments and decisions in a timely manner. As a natural people person, you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build instant rapport and lasting relationships with people of all backgrounds and levels with ease. With strong project management skills, you can organise your time and prioritise tasks in a calm and methodical manner, even under pressure. A science qualification would be beneficial for this role, whilst flexibility to travel globally is essential.
