An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Team Leader to join a leading Life Science organisation based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Continuous Improvement Team Leader you will be responsible for the identification of improvement opportunities, management of projects and delivery of tangible financial savings across European sites and for the line management and development of a team of Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

It's an exciting time to join the Business Process Excellence group in the role of Continuous Improvement Team Leader. We're looking not only for someone with exceptional management capabilities, but it's also vital that you are an experienced Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt. Your duties as the Continuous Improvement Team Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Working with managers to understand potential pinch points in the business where the greatest opportunity/need for improvement may lie.

2. Identifying major improvement opportunities which align with business strategy, focus on customer value and maximize ROI. Assisting with project prioritisation decisions by providing or reviewing business cases, ensuring accurate projections on value delivery, ROI, savings and benefits.

3. Supporting the delivery of the continuous improvement strategy across all European sites within agreed timeframes, facilitating and/or managing major business improvement projects.

4. Coaching and mentoring Business Process Excellence staff in continuous improvement methodology and project management/execution. Being a role model for a continuous improvement culture.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Continuous Improvement Team Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree qualification in a Scientific, Engineering or Business related discipline. Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt, certified by an industry recognised leader

2. Experience of leading Lean and Six Sigma projects and delivering significant financial savings in excess of £100k. Previous experience managing and training teams to Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt level.

3. Able to apply Design For Six-Sigma (DFSS) methodology to new business ventures. Proficient in software programs related to statistics, project management and process mapping.
