Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently searching for a Business Development Manager to join a leading Scientific Research company, specialising in Biotechnology Innovation. Our client is based in North East England with a customer base across the UK and as the Business Development Manager you will be responsible developing and executing plans to increase revenue and contribute to the continued growth of the organisation.


Your duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be required to develop and execute business plans with a view to grow income across the organisation.

2. You will be responsible for building collaborative partnerships with research centres, universities and innovation centres to deliver on business development strategies.

3. You will be required to identify and prioritise project opportunities through an explicit understanding of public funding networks.

4. You will be responsible for the preparation of bids and proposals and the management of external support where necessary.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific or Engineering related discipline such as; Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is essential.

2. Proven industry experience in managing Alliance or Collaboration projects within the Biologics arena is essential.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Public Funding mechanisms to support Research and Development innovation is highly desirable.
