HRS are currently looking for a Life Science Account Manager - Midlands & North to join a leading Life Science company based in the South East. As the Life Science Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and increasing revenue across the Midlands & North territories, focusing on products in the Research and Drug Discovery portfolios.


Your duties as the Life Science Account Manager - Midlands & North will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Identify and prospect new customers, and maintain good competitor knowledge, in order to increase market share for the Research and Drug Discovery portfolios.

2. Nurture and grow existing accounts to increase revenue and hit targets. In doing this, you will also create a Market Map of current accounts to identify key players.

3. Arrange face to face meetings with new and existing customers as well as getting he opportunity to network at trade shows and events.

4. Maintain a technical understanding of your portfolio to provide solutions to customer queries and issues. This will be supported by training and application specialists.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Life Science Account Manager - Midlands & North we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific subject such as Biology, Chemistry or Biotechnology.

2. Proven industry experience in a commercial position such as Sales, Account Management or Business Development. Experience selling Capital equipment is most desirable.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience within a lab environment. Experience working with reagents, diagnostics, imaging instruments and plate readers is beneficial.
