We are currently looking for a Downstream Processing Manufacturing Expert to join an exciting biotechnology company based in Iceland. As the Downstream Processing Manufacturing Expert you will be responsible for leading projects in aseptically purifying monoclonal antibodies and recombinant protein products by operating column chromatography and filtration equipment.


Your duties as the Downstream Processing Manufacturing Expert will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) author / reviewer and / or approver for written procedures, SOPs, BMRs and other cGMP documentation within Downstream Process Manufacturing.

2. Contribute towards Technology Transfer of processes to manufacturing scale.

3. Work in accordance with cGMP and EHS practices, conducting all activities in a compliant and safe manner. Willing to take on additional activities with little or no supervision.

4. Proactively ensure the DSP suite and equipment is maintained in a state of Inspection readiness at all times.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Downstream Processing Manufacturing Expert we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science discipline or equivalent experience along with industry experience within purification manufacturing projects.

2. Proven industry experience in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing within a GMP environment is essential.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with monoclonal antibodies will be highly desirable.
